The current situation of children ③
Today I'd like to share a story about a girl.
She has been coming to the children's cafe since she was in the second grade of elementary school.
In her early elementary school years, she didn't seem to have any particularly noticeable problems and was a bright and energetic girl, but as she got older, her language and attitude gradually began to change.
She started clashing with her friends more often, and as I spent more time with her, I gradually came to understand why: it was due to verbal abuse at home.
I was hurt by someone's words, and unconsciously, I was doing the same thing to those around me.
We told her many times that she is a precious being who was born to be loved.
During that time, when we had to close the children's cafe for about two weeks due to the coronavirus...
She had another argument with her parents, felt unloved by them, and considered suicide, thinking it would be better to die.
However, she confided that it was at that moment that she remembered the existence of children's cafes and decided to stay put.
Like her, many children wonder if they are truly loved by their parents.
To prevent these children, who carry emotional wounds, from making the worst possible life choices, we want to continue to stand by them and tell them that they are precious beings born to be loved.
Please lend us your support so that we can continue our activities.
